adidas to Reissue Stefan Edberg’s OG Signature Shoe
Court Flair.
Recap for the young cats: Sweedish tennis Superstar, former World Number One and Tennis HOF inductee Stefan Edberg was one of the world’s finest tennis players during the ’80s and ’90s. Unfazable, an incredible backhand, a stellar serve and volley, and a pleasant personality made him one of the most loved athletes in all of sports. Oh, and he had a banger of an adidas sneaker; the Torsion Edberg Comp. And now, a mere 19 years later, it returns in all of its OG glory.
The reissue of his original Torsion Edberg Comp from 1990 arrives constructed in premium white leather and features the signature color palates of the era; purple, aqua blue, pink, and orange. Overlays galore keep these on trend with the 90s revival, as does textured tongues, pre-aged midsoles and two-toned lining. Completing the design is a muted volt green Torsion system and matching Consortium lace dubraes.
Edberg’s Torsions will make their triumphant return to retail on July 19th and will be arriving at select adidas accounts like SNS for $120. Until then, grab a detailed look at the retro below!
