adidas and their Ultra BOOST have really gone out of their way in 2019 to celebrate Asian culture. From the Japan Fireworks creation previewed earlier this week, to the wild “Rainy Season” UB and its accompanying three-pack of colored soled options — all exclusive to Asia — those in the region have been blessed with BOOST. Now you can add one more, with this adidas Ultra BOOST 4.0 paying homage to China’s upcoming annual Moon Festival celebration.
This weekend sees those throughout Greater China celebrate by stuffing their faces full of Mooncakes — but can also flex their thanks with a special edition footwear offering from the Trefoil. Arriving ultra-simplistic, the pair carries on the black upper/colored sole themes of the aforementioned pack, but this time opting for a solid Orange color on the exposed BOOST midsoles. The same hue rides the nylon heel counters and tongues, each of which adorns a special motif which mimics the detail found on top of a ceremonial Mooncake — the delicacy consumed in droves throughout the festival.
