adidas Goes Back to the 1980s With the Ultra BOOST 5.0 DNA “Acid Wash”

Quite often throughout its history, the BOOST has often shown a creative side. The recently-revealed “Nerf” colorways took us back to our youth — and this new adidas Ultra BOOST “Acid Wash” is more in-line with an earlier era of hair metal, New Wave, and eyeliner.

Uppers feature the titular finish, with dark and light browns delivered in random formation. Aside from the wild uppers that would fit into any of Bon Jovi’s on-stage wardrobe, the pair arrives fairly tame; black accents follow the pair from top to tail, with the only deviations being the semi-translucent midfoot caging, and silver branding at the heel clip to complete the design.

An official release date for the pair is still unknown, but this adidas Ultra BOOST DNA “Acid Wash” is likely to sneak into select retailers and adidas.com over the coming weeks. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy an official look at the pair here below.
