The adidas Ultra BOOST 6.0 Debuts on April 22nd
Proving it’s here to stay and remain a major contributor to the three-stripe bottom line is the newest iteration of the Ultra BOOST lineage. adidas for years now – and perhaps the trailblazer within the sneaker world – have been changing their practices and methods towards an eco-friendly shoe while simultaneously reducing the oceans plastic pollution problem, so it’s of no surprise that the first adidas Ultra Boost 6.0 to be released will proudly display some of these changes.
From the outset, one may be forgiven that the first in the 6.0 line resembles something close to a Christmas sweater. The knit upper foundation showcases a non-dyed muted white interlaced with a “Crew Blue” hue which in actual fact is a PRIMEBLUE yarn that utilizes Parley Ocean Plastic without sacrificing high-performance benefits, the material is fabricated using 50% textile (75% of the textile being PRIMEBLUE yarn). Underfoot and laying the foundations for the design is a typical white BOOST midsole that’s framed with a classic contrasting black rubber outsole. The finishing touches include the medial cage and heel support that has been comprised of Milguard Ocean C™, a unique polymer blend made from reprocessed plastic and old fishing nets.
