This “Manchester Rose” adidas Ultra BOOST Celebrates the 110th Anniversary of Manchester United’s First FA Cup Victory
The first of many.
English football powerhouse Manchester United has done it all — and then some. With a record 20 League titles, 12 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, 3x UEFA Champions and FIF Club World Cup Champions — along with many, many more accolades. After climbing into the First division in 1906, just years after facing bankruptcy, the club claimed it’s first league title just two-yeara later, and in 1909, secured its first Charity Shield and FA cup. To honor the club’s first major achievement in its 110th anniversary, adidas will be releasing a special edition “Manchester Rose” Ultra BOOST, one which matches the club’s alternate uniforms for season 2019/20.
Arriving in a true triple black base, the pair ushers in luxe buttery leather overlays on the tongues, heels and lace cages — the latter sporting the same text as seen on the Red Legs’ aforementioned alternate strip, reading “110 Years,” “Manchester Rose,” and “1909_2019” across the cage’s three bands. Finishing off the all-black design is the prominently placed Lancashire Rose, a symbol which was worn on the left chest of the Manchester United Football Club in their 1909 FA Cup final battle against Bristol.
A release date for the commemorative Manchester Rose Ultra BOOST is yet to be revealed, but with the English Premier League set to kick off this August, you can expect to see its release land before then.
