adidas Brings "Leopard" Makeover to the UltraBOOST 1.0
It's been 10 years since the adidas UltraBOOST debuted. The silhouette is slated to return in its original 'Core Black/Purple/Gold Metallic' colorway soon, but it's also appeared in new, lifestyle-oriented makeovers.
Following the success of the adidas 'Leopard' Samba, the BOOST-cushioned runner from 2015 has just emerged with leopard print across its upper. Clad in a 'Core Black/Cyber Metallic/Warm Vanilla' color scheme, much of the pair's PRIMEKNIT construction opts for a straightforward, two-tone update reminiscent of past releases. Profile 3-Stripes branding deviates in material, but further contributes to the understated aesthetic. Stability counters around the heel, however, introduce the titular animal print to the shoe, distancing the UltraBOOST from its performance-first origins. Inner-lining also dons the leopard pattern, helping create one of the wildest makeovers to land on the model since its debut.
Underfoot, the midsole indulges in an off-white hue that resembles faux-aged offerings from the German sportswear giant. Continental™ Rubber traction completes the Women's offering in a seasonal gum brown finish.
