Although the Three Stripes is prepping handfuls of initiatives, products, and campaigns for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, it hasn't lost sight of the other football.
Today, adidas has announced an all-new U.S. football cleat design built to unlock a new level of speed and precision: Adizero Horizon. Developed over the course of two years, and with insight from elite athletes like Rome Odunze of the Chicago Bears, the innovative design reimagines how players brake, cut, and accelerate on the gridiron.
The cleats aren't scheduled to hit retail until Fall 2026, but they've already made their presence known on-the-field thanks to adidas-sponsored athletes like Indiana University’s Elijah Sarratt, who's wearing the Adizero Horizon in the College Football Playoff.

The design team at the brand developed and implemented proprietary SEPR8 technology on the Adizero Horizon in its pursuit of allowing the fastest players to achieve even more separation in their game. Additionally. the cleats feature: more studs than ever before, enabling more confidence-inspiring grip—even at extreme angles; an innovative plate system that provides a more responsive, natural-feeling transition through every stride; and the most amount of LIGHTSTRIKE foam underfoot in a U.S. football cleat ever, fine-tuned for bursts of speed.
The Adizero Horizon will release via adidas.com during autumn for $250. Special editions of the cleats should form part of the silhouette's lifecycle, as has been the case with other franchises.
