Y-3 Issue a Two-Pack of Torsion-Loaded Lifestyle Silhouettes for Summer

Yohji Yamamoto will be expanding his Y-3collection with adidas on a timely two-piece “Torsion Pack” that arrives amidst the Three Stripe’s 30-year celebration of the technology. The two new lifestyle silhouettes, the ZX Torsion, and the ZX Run, arrive uniform in both material and palette. Each sporting a mix of white, beige, orange, black and cream, the modern-styled ZX Torsion arrives with a two-piece BOOST-loaded sole unit, and a white mesh upper paired with wavy profile suede overlays. Black and orange accents hit the outsole, with Yohji’s signature sketched oner the exaggerated wrap-around heel pull. The classically-designed ZX Run is more in-line with adidas’ throwback ZX range, mimicking-yet-minimizing the late 80’s-early-90s designs. Cream mesh uppers are encased in an oversized smooth leather overlay at the vamp, and the signature ZX heel counter is replaced by a smooth, minimal, Y-3-branded panel. Toe cap overlays keep the ZX range’s classic shape, but it comes draped in an extravagant suede overlay at the forefoot.
