Y-3, the collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, revealed its Fall/Winter 2025 collection at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a fusion of sport and high fashion. Held at Pavillon Cambon, the event featured a visually immersive LED backdrop, evoking both stadium screens and modern digital life. The presentation concluded with the screen ascending to form a jumbotron adorned with adidas’ Three Stripes.
The collection emphasized functional silhouettes with padded pants, insulated t-shirts, and hoodies designed to blend utility with avant-garde aesthetics. Malleable wired appendages allowed for manipulation of the iconic Three Stripes, offering a customizable element. The designs drew inspiration from Japanese ink techniques, with artwork emulating fossilized amber to capture a sense of timelessness.
Footwear offerings spanned performance running styles, GSG9 combat boots, and archival reinterpretations. The show also debuted a collaboration with NEIGHBORHOOD, featuring moto-inspired designs with custom artwork by Death Spray Custom and leather crafted by Dainese. Racing suits and unique helmets added to the collection’s bold narrative.
Icons from sport and culture, including Gabbriette, Candace Parker, Marcos Montoya, and Djibril Cissé, walked the runway, highlighting Y-3’s fusion of performance and style. This season reaffirms Y-3’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of sportswear and fashion.
