adidas is on a constant pursuit of performance innovation across a wide range of disciplines. On global football and running fronts, the brand has recently enjoyed success thanks to its F50 HYPERFAST EVO and Adizero Evo SL projects, but the Three Stripes isn't stopping there.
As the German brand continues to explore new territories and push boundaries within the world of performance, it's also evaluated athlete recovery to rethink of how it can aid athletes of all levels in resting and getting ready for their next workout or competition.
That's where adidas HYPERBOOST 360 enters the picture.
Still within the Sample stage, HYPERBOOST 360 is an all-new recovery clog concept developed by the Three Stripes and unveiled during its Home of Innovation summit on Sept. 25. The prototype is currently being tested by elite adidas Athletes—including Brazil's Rodrygo, America's London Jenkins, and Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes—and breaks new ground in the world of comfortable slip-on footwear.
It's no secret that HYPERBOOST 360 bears resemblance to the defunct, but highly-memorable YEEZY FOAM RUNNER—a silhouette that added a futuristic spin on the type of comfort-first offerings from Crocs. Furthermore, it's important to note that adidas' concept arrives in the aftermath of the widely-successful Nike's ReactX Rejuven8 and Mind 001 styles.
HYPERBOOST 360 aims to achieve a similar goal—comfort and recovery—but offers a lighter, bouncier, and easier-to-manufacturer package.
The recovery clog concept leverages the same HyperBOOST PRO foam introduced on the HyperBOOST EDGE running shoe to create a plush, seamless 360° construction that wraps around the foot. The beaded material relieves pressure and enables ample airflow to help athletes feel cooler, fresher, and more relaxed as soon as they put the HYPERBOOST 360 on.

"We already know and see that recovery is a key part of athlete culture," shared Marc Makowski, Senior Vice President of Innovation at adidas. "Across sport, we see athletes using cold plunges, heat, compression, massage, stimulation, and sleep tools. Whilst these interventions look very different from one another, they're all trying to solve the same underlying problem: fast yet sustained recovery. Building on this insight, we set out to bring our leading technologies together to provide the next wave of recovery innovation."
By combining an innovative foam and data that identifies sensitive contact points on the foot, the adidas Innovation team has developed a smoother, more comfortable experience for athletes in HYPERBOOST 360. Ongoing feedback sessions will help continue to evaluate and tweak this and other concepts to deliver supportive solutions.
An official adidas.com release date for a retail-version of the HYPERBOOST 360 has not been alluded to by the brand, but that may change by Summer 2027.
