adidas Kick-Off A-ZX Series With a Reissue of the OG ZX 1000C

Fresh off its 30th-anniversary celebration of Torsion tech, adidas will be taking their revered lineage into it fourth decade with another trip down memory lane. the brand will be revisiting their A-ZX lineage, a 2008-09 project that enlisted a wide range of global partners to put their touch of a bevy of 26 alphabet inspired ZX releases. This year you can expect much of the same, with a lineup of retail and creative partners ready to reimagine silhouettes that fall under the “thousand series”.

First on up for the series of drops is the letter “R” — which stands for “retro” — and will entail a re-release of the original ZX 1000C colorway in Cream and Teal-Blue. Here, uppers arrive constructed in a cream-white suede and mesh, whilst toes, heels, and ribbon Three Stripe carry the pair’s popping blue hues. Complimentary black accents add a visual anchor at the midfoot, outsole, and Three Stripes piping, whilst and aged-look midsole, retro tongue branding, and vibrant yellow Torsion system underfoot complete the retro aesthetic.
