adidas ZX 9000 YCTN “Moccasin” is Equipped with Traditional Tooling

From the ZX8000 “Frozen Lemonade” to the “Krusty Burger” ZX 10000, adidas has kept their themes for the ZX linage at full-tilt. The next in their long-line of creative curations is the brand-new ZX 9000 YCTN, one which represents the letter Y for this almost-complete A-ZX initiative.

A release that embraces premium materials and design motifs drawn from the aesthetics of traditional moccasins, the pair presents in plush black suede and nubuck, with supple leather hitting the midfoot Three Stripe and lacestay tooling. The contrast-stitch detailing used over the toe arrives with one shoe repeating a Z-stitch and the other uses X-stitch to celebrate both the ZX footwear series and traditional techniques. The sole unit resides underfoot in two tones, a cream shade painting the midsole, and solid black rubber beneath. A removable fringe collar completes the design for a modern, athletic take on a classic footwear style.
