The adidas ZX Torsion Takes on a Tonal Grey Colorway

Introduced for the Trefoil’s Torsion Tech’s 30th-anniversary celebration, the adidas ZX Torsion continues the Three Stripe’s focus on retooled, reworked classics for the modern market. Now it’s surfaced in a timeless greyscale colorway. EQT stylings dominate the pair’s upper through overly aggressive geometrics, layering and heavy-duty mesh. The latter is served up in a mid grey, contrasting against the lighter tones of the suede overlays and plastic hardware. Sole units remain aggressive, too, with a two-piece construction filled with differing details, from translucent pods to plastics, to rugged outsoles — all arriving in a monochrome makeup. The sole pops of color come from the pair’s Torsion bar X at the arch of the sole, popping in vibrant teal, a circular heel outsole pod in faded yellow and the vivid green Torsion-branded dubrae.
