Japan's atmos continues its 25th anniversary celebration with assistance from Adidas Originals, reimagining its Predator Megaride in a "Blue Spirit" makeover.
Inspired by the German sportswear brand's Predator Absolute football boot from 2006, the silhouette has been a focal point for a few other capsules—including a multi-piece collection with Ronnie Fieg's Kith. The Megaride cushioning underfoot draws inspiration from some short-lived running products from yesteryear, while tapping into current "visible tech" trends. The pair by atmos keeps the model's blueprint intact, effectively serving a simple color palette update. The fold-over tongue, tooling elements below, and insole, however, indulge in a bold blue thats historically been associated with the renowned retailer. The color scheme includes "Silver Metallic" accents that harken back to retro performance footwear.
Campaign imagery for the collaboration depicts the "Blue Spirit" Predator Megaride in a rave-reminiscent setting attended by a bevy of streetwear and football-enthusiasts. The sneaker's tongue nods to atmos' 25th anniversary on its underside.
Enjoy detailed photos of the commemorative project ahead. Pairs are currently slated to launch exclusively online via atmos' channels on Saturday, May 31.
