Where to Buy the adidas Response CL “Kill Bill”

Though it’s by far and away his least-hyped collaboration with adidas, Bad Bunny, and his adidas Response CL has definitely broadened the Puerto Rican rapper’s collaborative catalog outside of the retro hoop shoe pigeon hole. But the heritage-inspired trainer, like the rapper himself, has a solid following, and it now appears that fans of the retro-styled runner may be in for a second colorway of the collaboration, with Benito previewing a second “Kill Bill” colorway of the design revealed last night during his LA leg of his current tour.

Arriving in August last year through its Consortium program, the trendy dad shoe has since seen a sampling of releases over the proceeding months. A Homage to 2000’s running technologies refined and updated to give a fresh take on archive running. Based on some archive oddities ranging from the 2003 Response Cushion to the 2007 Response Control 7, the pair is, quite frankly, not to everybody’s tastes. But with this Kill Bill — or Bruce Lee – like colorway, it may extend its reach beyond its small fanbase. Once again Bad Bunny has employed the same melted/dripping overlays as seen on the previous release, but ditched the drab white and blue in favor of a striking yellow, black, and red rendering that mimics — perhaps by accident — The Bride’s famous Bruce Lee-inspired outfit from Quinten Tarantino’s Kill Bill.
