Adidas Transforms Iconic Superstars and Sambas with Football Boot-Inspired Design

The long-standing collaboration between Bape and Adidas continues, reinforcing their shared history of cross-branded classics. Few silhouettes embody that legacy better than the Superstar, a staple in sneaker culture that now receives a baby-sized Bape treatment, as revealed today through official imagery.

While it's unclear whether this design will extend to adult sizing—though it's likely—the pair stays true to Bape’s signature aesthetic while subtly reworking the Shell Toe icon. The upper arrives in debossed, textured leather, adding an extra layer of depth, while sail-tinted shell toes and soles give the shoe a soft, vintage-inspired look. The most striking feature is Bape’s patent black leather Sta motif, replacing the standard Three Stripe overlays on the lateral side. However, the medial side retains Adidas’ classic three-stripe branding, bridging the two brand identities seamlessly.
