Edison Chen’s run with adidas continues to stretch the limits of what a heritage silhouette can become. The Clot x adidas Superstar "Coffee Orange" builds on the duo’s ongoing reinvention of the shell-toe, once again fusing classic sport DNA with elevated, almost dress-shoe sensibilities.
At first glance, the Clot x adidas Superstar "Coffee Orange" keeps things familiar with a clean white leather upper. But the details quickly shift the tone. Rich brown Three Stripes and heel tabs deliver the “Coffee” element, while a bold orange leather wrap slices across the midsole, stitched prominently like a handcrafted welt. The layered sole unit — stacked with brown and white striping — sits atop a jagged, sawtooth outsole that’s become a defining feature of Chen’s Superstar reworks.
Signature Clot cues return in full: serrated panel edges, subtle perforations across the quarters, and that tasseled lace detail that leans more toward a loafer than a locker room. The hybrid approach continues to blur categories, landing somewhere between streetwear staple and contemporary formal.

While past editions have experimented with pony hair and other luxe finishes, this pair feels more grounded in everyday wear, balancing statement-making color blocking with versatile neutrals. The Clot x adidas Superstar "Coffee Orange" manages to feel bold without drifting too far from the Superstar’s roots — a careful line this partnership has walked well.
Current reports point to a March 7 release date at a $200 retail price, though official confirmation from adidas remains pending. Expect further updates soon.
