DTLR and Adidas Celebrate Chicago with a City Series Superstar

Adidas’ ongoing “City Series” continues to sweep across the map, with stops in Atlanta and Milwaukee already logged this spring. Now, the brand heads to the heart of the Midwest for its latest entry — the DTLR x Adidas Superstar “Chicago.”

Crafted in partnership with the East Coast retailer, the design draws inspiration from the iconic Chicago city flag. A translucent outsole reveals a red-and-blue “CHICAGO” skyline graphic, while matching flag-inspired details land on the tongue, insole, and lace accessories. Notably, the left tongue features the full flag graphic, while the lace dubraes include the state of Illinois silhouette for extra local flavor.

Alternating red and blue heel panels keep the theme alive, with the right heel adding a “Windy City” graphic for good measure. Elsewhere, the Three Stripe branding arrives serrated and subtly trimmed in red, green, and yellow — potentially referencing the Chicago Transit Authority’s color-coded rail lines.

The DTLR x Adidas Superstar “Chicago” will be released in full family sizing on April 18th exclusively at DTLR.
