Eric Emanuel has a Second adidas Sneaker Arriving Soon

The adidas Rivalry Hi returns right on time for a revamp, with Eric Emanuel getting the nod to breathe new life into the 80s silhouette.

But the sneaker’s new life actually hits you right in the nostalgic feels, with an earthy color palate indicative of the period. Cream, flat-soled, chunky hoops shoes might just be what we need right now, in a world full of ultra-modern, brightly colored, tech-loaded footwears.

NIGO did give the silhouette a decent crack at a revive back in 2014 — but the market didn’t respond. Perhaps with a ton of Three Stripe kicks mimicking the past releasing right now, these will receive a better reception this time around.

Releasing alongside his adidas Crazy BYW X, the Eric Emanuel x adidas Hi-Top Rivalry hits select stores and adidas.com on December 7th.
