Today, Ronnie Fieg and his Kith team launch their second collection with Adidas Football this year. As if enlisting former Juventus teammates Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala wasn't enough to get fans excited, Sam Handy, Senior Vice President of Design & Product for the Three Stripes, recently took to social media to unveil a Friends & Family-edition F50 Spider Elite boot for the New York City-based brand.
Originally launched in 2004, the Adidas F50+ Spider has long been on many boot collectors' wish-lists for a proper retro. Over the last year, industry insiders have rumored that the "spider web"-donning style would return by 2026, and Handy's preview gives credence to the rumors.
The F&F version for Kith features a brown textile base overlaid with a web-patterned synthetic overlay across the profiles. Covers over the tongue feature special Kith & Kin branding as well as a white snakeskin material. A clip around the lower heel confirms the retro design has been updated for the modern game with SPRINTFRAME 360 tooling. Lastly, Kith text lands on the spines, accompanying the German sportswear company's performance logo.
