Meissen x adidas ZX 10000 Honors Traditional Ceramics
Though adidas has reached collaborative partners from all corners of the globe for its alphabetical A-ZX collection, their next-up option returns to the rolling hills of their homeland. Just a few hours north-east of adidas HQ is the world-renowned Meissen, manufacturers of fine porcelain, who will hold the pack’s “M” letter, interpreting their craft atop the adidas ZX 10000.
The pair takes on a traditional approach to porcelain, with a completely tonal all-white base topped with a decorative floral arrangement across the vamp, quarter, and tongue. Translucent eyelet caging and netted profile detain the graphic from reaching further back to its white-out rear end, while white midsoles and sail rubber outsoles continue traditional porcelain form. The absence of branding, too, fits the classic artisan approach, with nothing but a simple underfoot Meidden crossed-sword stamp present — a nice ode to traditional marker’s mark typically found on the bases of finely-crafted ceramics.
The Meissen x adidas ZX 10000 C is set to arrive on December 18th in Asia, with a global release to be confirmed shortly after. Until that news comes through, grab a detailed look a the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
