With anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament rising, adidas Football continues to celebrate the sport with special-edition collections. For its latest effort, the Three Stripes team has invited Lionel Messi for another Icon Collection. This time, the Argentine's beloved F50 series gets a tangerine "Hora Dorada" makeover.
Inspired by "the golden hour" right after sunrise and before sunset, the project applies an eye-catching "Ice Tangerine/Gold Metallic/Pure Tangerine" color scheme to adidas F50 football boots. Longtime fans of Messi will immediately think of the orange kits the World Cup™ winner wore while with FC Barcelona.
Previously, orange-clad boots from the Three Stripes—namely the X Speedflow Messi.1 from 2021—drew inspiration from the athlete's time with Barça, referencing boots he wore during a particular 2007 win against Getafe. The newest pair speaks to Messi's fast-paced game.

Messi's "Aurora Radiante" adidas Originals capsule from February was the most-recent Icon lineup for the Argentine international. It revisited Miami-friendly color schemes in celebration of the footballer, while also positioning him as an important figure leading into the 2026 World Cup™. Thematic collections for Jude Bellingham and Lamine Yamal have done the same for them.
The "Hora Dorada" F50 collaboration blends performance, story-telling, and star power to showcase what's possible when an athlete and his gear transcend sport.
Enjoy detailed shots of the tangerine-colored F50 collection ahead. Pairs have begun rolling out via adidas.com and select retailers. Takedown, Turf, and Indoor editions of the "Hora Dorada" Messi products are available in Adult and Youth sizing.
