Adidas continues its Major League Soccer (MLS) team collaborations with a special edition Gazelle ADV, this time partnering with Minnesota United FC. The release, dubbed "Familia," joins a series of MLS club collaborations on this classic Adidas model, reminiscent of Leo Messi's recent Inter Miami partnership.
While not explicitly stated, the timing of this release appears strategically aligned with the annual Day of the Dead festivities, bridging a cultural connection from Minnesota to Mexico, despite the geographical distance of nearly 2000 miles.
The sneaker itself is dressed in a soft baby blue nubuck, complemented by crisp white leather for the iconic Three Stripes, matching laces, linings, tongues, and the traditional cupsole. A striking contrast is provided by the black leather heels, which proudly feature Minnesota United FC’s distinctive Loon motif alongside the "Familia" inscription, the latter prominently displayed in legible lettering on the shoe's lateral side.
Inside, co-branded insoles echo the theme of unity and community represented by the "Familia" label, rounding out a design that celebrates a partnership and a cultural heritage.
Set for a September 15th release, the MNUFC x Adidas Gazelle ADV "Familia" will be available through Adidas.com and select retailers.
