NASA and adidas’ partnership dates back to this time last year, when adidas announced that they have linked up with the U.S. National Laboratory on the International Space Station (ISS) to explore the boundaries of product innovation, human performance, and sustainability. The initial phase of the partnership will focus on product innovation, and with the support of the ISS National Lab and technologies developed by NASA, adidas will become the first brand to test footwear innovation in the extreme conditions of space. Not long after, the duo dropped an epic line of debut colorways for the Ultra BOOST 20, but since then, it appears that the link-up has gone AWOL. Now, it appears, that the link-up has landed back on Earth with the surfacing of this NASA x adidas Ultra BOOST 20.

The Space Grey uppers and the accompanying metallic silver finishes give the pair an interstellar aesthetic, while complimentary hits of orange and royal to match that of the tongue’s Artemis Program branding. To solidify the theme, the pair comes complete with a set of moonscape and NASA-branded graphic insoles.

Update 11.20.20 Official images of the pair have now landed, along with three accompanying Ultra BOOST DNA options in blue/silver, silver/grey, and “Iron Metallic”, as well as two more UB20 in more subdued tones — all of which have been inked for a December 6th release. Grab a detailed look at the three pairs here below, and look for all three to hit adidas.com@ 3 am ET on the day for $180 a pop.

Update 11.24.20 adidas have tacked on two more releases to the upcoming NASA x adidas “Space Race” pack, with both a black and white based NMD R1 added to the lineup.

If you are planning on picking up any of the pairs on the day, make sure you head to our dedicated adidas Release Dates Calendarto set yourself a reminder for the respective drop!
