Iconic Japanese streetwear brand NEIGHBORHOOD and German sportswear giant adidas will rekindle their partnership on two variants of the NMD s1 for the Spring/Summer season.

Featuring both the NMD S1 and the newly-curated NMD S1 Boot, the collection is a fusion of NEIGHBORHOOD’s edgy aesthetic and adidas signature design, creating two sneakers perfectly suited to the partnership’s back catalog.

For the NMD S1, NEIGHBORHOOD  has repurposed its design from 2019’s “Run City Pack” Ultra Boost, with sharp white teeth and dissolving effects dressing a solid black weave. Though their initial release boasted bold, oversized wording on the heel, this release opts for more minimal finishes to the midsole inserts, with co-branded markings at the forefoot and a denotation of their founding date at the heel. The suede boot sits atop the same sole unit but opts for an ultra-minimal upper. Moccasin-style toes and high-rise leather liners blur the lines between hiker and traditional footwear, all of which are juxtaposed by adidas BOOST cushioning underfoot. A co-branded lockdown buckle/toggle system completes the design.

though a release date for the new NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas NMD S1 Collection was not officially noted, you should expect to see pairs touch down globally soon.
