RESTOCK // Nice Kicks Celebrate Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary with This Trippy Tye-Dyed Ultra BOOST
Nice Kickshas linked up with adidas Consortium for a celebratory Ultra BOOST “Woodstock”, a tie-dyed trainer that pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic music festival.
The festival held back on a dairy farm in Bethel, N.Y on August 15th thru 18th 1969 consisted of thirty-two acts performing outdoors despite sporadic rain. It’s a list of iconic artists including Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix, and it’s never-before-seen format has the festival widely regarded as the pivotal moment in popular music history. And now in 2019, Nice Kicks honor the cultural event 50th Birthday with a psychedelic tie-dyed adidas Ultra BOOST.
The design includes a tie-dye spiral upper, semi-translucent white cage overlays, and a gum sole that harkens back to adidas’ first-ever consortium project on the NMD R1. The sneaker also features crisp white BOOST midsoles, color-tipped laces, Nice Kicks and Woodstock co-branding on the tongues and the sneaker is completed with the signature Consortium eyelets.
After a limited launch on August 17th — 50 years to the date that the festival was scheduled to finish — pairs will now be restocked at Sneakersnstuff and END. on November 1st. To be in for a chance to secure a pair, be sure to enter the SNS raffle here. and the END. raffle here.
