Nice Kicks Repurpose Their Famed NMD Collab for the Ultra BOOST

Nice Kicks have had a pretty solid run of collaborations, but none more notable than their efforts with adidas — most of which stem back to the retailer’s 2016 Red Tie-Dye NMD R1; A bonafide banger. Now, the parties look to repurpose that effort upon another, arguably more popular, silhouette for the Summer of 2021, with the Nice Kicks x adidas Ultra BOOST “Red Tie Dye” tacking the famed colorway for the collaboration’s fifth anniversry.

Yes, it’s only been five years, but somehow it feels like more. And despite the popularity of the NMD cooling off in recent years, the Nice Kicks collab has held its value. Given that factor, the hype should be here for these, too, as the pair is a literal copy of the pair just plonked atop the Ultra BOOST. You can expect to see the same red tie-dye finish printed on the Primeknit upper, white BOOST midsoles, and gum rubber outsoles, while its caging and clips channel the NMD’s midsole inserts, eyestays, and heel overlays. White tags at the tongue have been replaced for black, while laces also favor the dark hue over the originally-used red.
