Palace Skateboardshas just unveiled its latest collaboration with adidas, and boy does it draw some comparisons to efforts from a trio of Raf Simons-designed pairs from a half-decade ago.
Channeling Raf’s Spring 2015 collection with the German sportswear giant, the world-renowned skate brand decks our two perforated options, sporting a “P” at the midfoot in a like style to Raf’s aforementioned efforts. Though Simons’ releases were single-color, Palace mixes things up with two uniquely-blocked options. One, unsurprisingly, tweaks the tennis shoe’s iconic White/Green colorway, the other in a barrage of pastels. Co-branded suede panels in the rear are each served up in its own unique hue — one that alternates from the other’s sock liner. Tongues arrive sans the color-printed branding, instead opting for a tonal debossed look in blue-grey and grey respectively, while each comes atop aged-look sole units and toes, too
