Parley x adidas 4DFWD Appears in New Beige, Black and Green Scheme
Debuting in May of 2021, the data-driven adidas 4DFWD has taken the running scene by storm. The other-worldly tech offers the ability to fine-tune midsoles to specific patterns of movement so that athletes can enjoy the precision performance with every step. But for most, it’s not just about the performance of the shoe, but also of the manufacturer that makes it. With sustainability at the forefront of consumers’ minds, adidas has formed a long-running relationship with Parley for the Oceans, incorporating recycled plastics in their performance footwear for years. The inevitable partnership was bound to hit the new silhouette sooner rather than later, and after their first-up effort late last year comes another, this one in an alternate beige-based colorway.
Though the adidas 4DFWD already arrives with PRIMEKNIT upper made from recycled polyester, Parley has tacked on engulfing Three Stripe decorative detail derived from their ocean-saving efforts. Its muted green hue almost merges unnoticeably with the beige surrounds and is overlayed by bold white Three Stripe stick-on. There’s more black at the eyestays, liners, and rear pull, whilst the 4D sole units are split between black and beige. Co-branded tongues and insoles complete the design.
Though there is no specific release date set for the Parley x adidas 4DFWD, official imagery of the pair having just arrived would indicate that a release is not too far away.
