Pokémon x adidas Originals Varsity Jackets Are Available Now

Pokémon and adidas Originals are celebrating the franchise’s 30th anniversary with a new collection spanning apparel, footwear and accessories, with the first wave already beginning to roll out.

Leading the apparel side are a trio of standout varsity jackets inspired by Gengar, Charizard and Pikachu. Each uses a black leather-look base with character-specific color blocking across the shoulders and sleeves, oversized chenille-style Pokémon graphics at the back, Poké Ball patches at the arms and adidas Trefoil branding at the chest.

The Gengar version pairs purple and black with red Three Stripes, while the Charizard jacket switches to orange across the shoulders and sleeves. Pikachu’s pair takes on a yellow finish with red striping, keeping the same overall construction while giving each design its own character-specific look.

Small Pokémon branding at the upper back and additional embroidered details round out the jackets, which are priced at $280 each.

While select pieces from the Pokémon x adidas Originals 30th Anniversary collection are available now at DICK's Sporting Goods, the wider rollout is set for September 22, when additional apparel and the accompanying footwear collection are expected to release.
