The Duo of Run DMC x adidas Superstars to Release in November

Known for their partnerships with some of the world’s biggest recording artists today, adidas boasts one of the biggest lineups of musical talent in its collaborative corner. Kanye and the recently-signed Beyonce lead the way, with prominent acts like Pusha T and Childish Gambino adding to the brand’s hip-hop roots. Of course, none of this would have at all been possible if it wasn’t for hip-hop icons Run DMC and their first-ever non-athlete sneaker endorsement in the 1980s. Of course, the trio went on to record a track entitled “My adidas” as part of the deal, but it felt so natural, with the B-Boys of Queens starting the sport-streetwear style years before. Over the years, we’ve seen countless shootouts to the Hall of Famers on their preferred silhouette, the Superstar, and with this year being the silhouette’s 50th anniversary, you just knew another one was coming. For 2020, we see the partnership continue with co-branded tongues and insoles, “SUPERSTAR” at the quarter in RUN DMC’s signature styling, and red heel overlays complete with tonal Trefoil branding.

This release will also arrive in full family sizing, with toddlers, grade school and unisex sizing available for $55, $65, and $70 respectively. No release date has been announced, but you can expect pair to land at select Three Stripe partners and adidas.com in the coming weeks.
