After a sure-fire start to his collaborative adidas contract, things have certainly quieted down for Round Two founder Sean Wotherspoon, perhaps in part to his utilization of less-popular models like the EQT Support and Superturf Adventure. But after a brief deviation away from the brand’s icons, SW is back with arguably one of the most beloved adidas silhouettes of all time, with the man himself revealing a very first look at an upcoming Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle

Aligned with the brand’s recent push of the silhouette through the extensive Gucci collaboration (which Sean happens to subtly flex in the teaser images) Wotherspoon has been tapped to inflict his personal styling on the classic silhouette. This, along with the aforementioned Gucci collab, will undoubtedly be part of a big play of the lifestyle silhouette as we move deep into 2022 and beyond — and with the demand for retro trainers again on the rise, it s a smart move by the Three Stripes, who themselves have a seemingly endless catalog of classics.

Sean’s effort is anything but classic, though, with colorful illustrations covering a ribbed corduroy upper. The cream base is countered by dark navy suede overlays along the eyestays and Three Strips, with simple white liners and laces adding a classic touch. Contemporary semi-translucent sole unit wraop the pair, whilst a co-branded heel and insole complete the design.

Grab a first teaser look at the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle here below, and expect to learn (and see) more about its release in the coming weeks.
