The size? x adidas Marathon TR Arrives in Awesome Orange

Following their efforts on the Nike Shox TL and their New Balance 990v5, Euro retailers size? are jumping brands once more, this time heading to German Giants adidas for a stellar collaborative effort on the iconic Marathon TR

The adidas Originals Marathon TR was one of the final silhouettes Adi Dassler worked upon, meticulously designed through a constant back and forth process between athletes and the brand. A group of specialist runners rigorously tested the shoes, reporting back to Dassler with any comments until they reached near perfection in 1979.

It was a trail-running pioneer when it was first released. The Marathon’s aggressive rubber outsole provided runners with the traction needed to tackle the toughest of terrains, and the model’s Dellinger webbed midsole delivered a futuristic look for its era. The net-like sole unit enhanced compression within the midsole, providing the wearer with greater shock-absorption – a feature that the brand’s additional models like the New York and the Atlanta has consistently replicated.

For their latest rendition of the 40-year-old runner, size? has painted the pair in a contrasting red and blue colorway. The breathable mesh and suede uppers promise enduring comfort, with a soft nylon tongue to keep things cozy. Underfoot, the retailers have tinted the runner’s protruding Trefoil print outsole in a gum shade – only the second time it’s appeared on the Marathon TR.

Look for the size? x adidas Marathon TR to release on July 26th in-store and online in both men’s and women’s sizes for £85 GBP (approximately $110 USD).
