Star Wars x adidas Ultra BOOST 19 “Millennium Falcon” Releases Nov. 21

The anticipation for the release “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” is building. Warsies need no further spur-on for its release, but for those into their sneakers too, It must be getting to the point of self-implosion of excitement. It now seems that we’re unveiling a new Star Wars x adidas release every day — and that’s only adding to the compounding hype train that forever surrounds the franchise. Next to join the Three Stripe’s collaborative collection is the Ultra BOOST 19, this time paying tribute to the world’s most famous sci-fi starship, the Millennium Falcon.

Dating all the way back to Episode IV in 1977, the Millennium Falcon certainly holds a lofty spot in Star Wars history, and although the Kessel Run record-holding ship’s normal tan/orange/burgundy color scheme is mostly absent — save for a small amount of specifically-colored detailing — this Ultra BOOST salutes the standout spacecraft in a different fashion. First and foremost, the schematic midsoles, graphic insoles, and branded tongue tags make it evident that this sneaker is directly related to the disc-shaped craft, but hardcore fans will recognize the Falcon’s hyperdrive-fueled leaps that is represented in the pair’s blue detailing. There’s also a few Rebel Alliance branded hits on the lace tips and dubrae as well. Completing the design is the memorable Hans Solo quote from The Empire Strikes Back “Never tell me the odds,” a reply to C3-P0 who suggested that Solo’s plans to hide the malfunctioning ship in an asteroid to avoid pursuivants would be futile.
