ANTA KT5 “Disco Ball” and KT4 “Klay Area” Release October 6th

ANTA KT5 “Disco Ball” and KT4 “Klay Area” Release October 6th

Shooting legend, introverted enigma, and all-around nice guy Klay Thompson’s record deal with ANTA ensured the kid a big payday. Many scoffed, of course, because that’s the stigma Asian brands have in the current market, but the brand has backed up the big bucks with some banger signature sneakers in the KT4 and recently-unveiled KT5. It’s been a struggle for fans to get their hands on the man’s kicks, but ANTA has made a concerted effort to deliver more pairs Stateside this year, including these releases, which will touch down in the Bay Area on October 6th. Following on from the debut Klaythesim, the ANTA KT5 “Disco Ball” is simplistic in its makeup, yet makes a bold-ass statement. All-grey uppers and icy outsoles are paired with minimal branding hits in purple and red, but the pair is really championed through it’s iridescent metallic silver overlays and midsoles. — and the packaging is as equally wild.

The KT4 “Klay Area” takes elements from his All-Star sneaker, this time pairing a black upper with various velcro patches the honor Klay’s life. Teal-blue accents, liners, and speckles on the midsole add some extra touches, but the statement collaged midsoles take this pair from plain to insane.

Both are limited to a scant 204 pairs, and will release at Oakland-based retailer Oaklandish on October 6th, with the KT5 retailing for $180 USD, and the KT4 at $140 USD. Take a peep at both pairs below, and if you’re in the area on drop date, can someone please pick me up a size 13 in both 🔌
