Kyrie Irving might still be out for the 2025-26 NBA season, but the Dallas Mavericks star recently made headlines off-the-court. In addition to helping artist LaRussell set a new record for the price of a digital album purchase, the 33-year-old athlete took to social media to unveil the ANTA KAI 3, his third signature basketball shoe with the Chinese sportswear company.
Since Summer 2023, Irving has been linked to ANTA, having signed a five-year deal with the brand. Although much of the world was skeptical about what would come about from the relationship as compared to the highly-successful Nike Kyrie line, Irving and his partner have impressed a wide range of audiences across the globe, delivering top-notch performance product at accessible pricing. Furthermore, the Irving-ANTA collaboration has brought forth a lifestyle-oriented segment that the one-time NBA Champion never got to fully explore while under the Swoosh.
As with many marquee signature athletes, Irving's basketball shoe line is on an annual refresh cycle. The KAI 3, then, is expected to land at retailers by the end of 2026. The silhouette features a similar shape to the KAI 2, but opts for a slightly sportier finish achieved via different midsole construction and sleeker uppers. Nitrogen-infused N2 Foam cushioning, reinforced heel counter, and forefoot stability system, are just some of the performance-oriented updates to land on Irving's latest model.
Enjoy shots of the inaugural KAI 3, which draws inspiration from the impending Year of the Horse celebration. Pairs will land via ANTA.com on Saturday, Jan. 17, for $135.
