The ASICS GEL-1130 "Cloud Grey" Is Available Now

Although ASICS didn't kick off the retro-runner trend, it's been on the forefront. Its GEL-Kayano series has enjoyed some time in the spotlight, but its GEL-1130 has become the go-to sneaker for countless consumers looking to be stylish without breaking the bank.

Priced at just $110, the ASICS GEL-1130 has emerged in dozens of colorways throughout its original and retro runs. The bulk of the model's looks have been rooted in retro flair, donning 'Metallic Silver' alongside some contrasting tone. Most recently, the silhouette has appeared in a 'Cloud Grey/White' look that exemplifies why ASICS' budget-friendly design from 2008 has taken off.

Breathable mesh bases set the stage for a number of synthetic panels throughout the upper. Hits of off-white claim real estate across the top-half, but play a supporting role to the titular 'Cloud Grey' hue. Underfoot, the GEL-assisted sole unit further indulges in clean look that allows the upper to revel in the spotlight. GEL units, mid-foot shanks, and traction, however, inject some personality into the sneaker–in particular the running-informed, semi-translucent outsole with its gum brown finish.

The 'Cloud Grey' GEL-1130 is now available via ASICS.com for $110. A wider retail launch could follow.
