ASICS has cracked the code. In addition to relaunching some of its innovative technical running silhouettes from the past, the Japanese sportswear giant has cultivated a cult-like following thanks to its impressive roster of collaborators. Last December, GALLERY DEPT. helped the brand introduce the GEL-K1011 design to the market. Ahead of Spring 2025, ASICS is ready to release its heritage-inspired style with at least two inline colorways.

At quick glance, the model closely resembles the popular ASICS GEL-NYC that kicked off his lifecycle with an AWAKE NY collaboration. Close inspection, however, reveals design details from the company's GEL-Kayano archive. Silhouettes from the late 1990s and early 2000s come together on the GEL-K1011, offering a touch of nostalgia in a modern package. The upper consists of a panel and badge layout derived from the GEL-Kayano 5, 7, and 10. Underfoot, the sneaker revives the GEL-Cumulus 17's tooling from 2010. Stacked GEL-cushioning works in-tandem with FLYTEFOAM and FLYTEFOAM PROPEL to deliver a comfortable, stable, and reliable ride.

Akin to GALLERY DEPT.'s collaboration from 2024, the new ASICS' inaugural colorways pull from the past, coupling 'White' and 'Black' with 'Pure Silver' and other retro tones.

Enjoy official photos of the debut GEL-K1011 duo ahead. An ASICS.com launch should take place within the next month for $130.
