HAVEN Gives the ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10.1 An Asymmetrical Twist
Brothers Arthur and Daniel Chmielewski have made HAVEN one of Vancouver's premier destinations for fresh apparel, accessories, and footwear. As the two get 2025 underway, they've partnered with ASICS to release a special GEL-Nimbus 10.1.
Developed with the idea of light and shadows on urban concrete, the collaboration skews towards the understated. The silhouette's technical, running-informed upper and sole unit opt for a predominantly faded 'Black' makeover. Panels across the top-half feature non-standard grid patterns that brings HAVEN's touch to the retro design. Mesh bases further nod to the sneaker's performance origins, while lace loops and their accompanying reflective laces double-down on the GEL-Nimbus 10.1's functional details.
The Chmielewski brothers' most defining update to the 17-year-old model is the asymmetrical color-blocking found on the pair. The medial profiles abandon a pitch-dark finish in favor of grey, seemingly-reflective layers. A co-branded apparel capsule complements the sneakers and consists of a GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® 3L for enhanced performance and utility.
