Little Tokyo Table Tennis Releases Its ASICS GEL-NIMBUS® 10.1 Collab June 7
Los Angeles' Little Tokyo Table Tennis (LTTT) will launch its debut ASICS sneaker collaboration this weekend.
For its inaugural project, the community-oriented, table tennis-loving brand has chosen the GEL-NIMBUS® 10.1, a hybrid silhouette introduced to the market by Ronnie Fieg and company. As shared in an Instagram post announcing the collab's release, the retro offering is "every [T]uesday at Terasaki Budokan [Recreation Center] there ever was - into a shoe."
LTTT has utilized a vibrant yellow hue across the bulk of the GEL™-cushioned design. Contrasting elements throughout the top-half cleverly nod to the table tennis sport that's brought together folks in LA's Little Tokyo neighborhood. The most iconic detail is unquestionably the net-inspired laces and tongue attachments, which tell a story while playing with the sneaker's performance heritage.
Enjoy campaign imagery of the special GEL-NIMBUS® 10.1 and accompanying apparel and accessories below. Items are scheduled to release on Saturday, June 7, at the LTTT 40++++ shop (309 E. 1st Street) beginning at 12 p.m. local time. An online drop will also take place via the LTTT.life web store. No word on a global ASICS.com launch has been disclosed.
