Button Bred

Here’s a concept I’ve been wanting to do for a while — a long while — but never got around to, That was until Instagram kicked my ass into gear this morning, when I scrolled past a vintage Michael Jordan button circa 1991 that a lot of you still may remember:

This piece is the early 90s summed up in one button. Mike’s “It’ll be Sweet 2 Repeat” wish ended up coming true, and then some. But look at those on-foots! True Bred 3’s. Now, I’m not entirely sure if it’s just an edit, or if it was an actual sample, either way, they are too clean. Our version below stays true to the “Button Bred” except for one small tweak to the outsole for a more modern aesthetic.

I’m still sure this will happen one day, it’s just a matter of when. Hell, we’re getting a red-based pair of Threes for All-Star Weekend 2020, perhaps it may even look a little something like our edit below.
