Converse x Naruto Shippuden Collection Drops May 22

Converse is diving headfirst into the world of anime with an official Naruto Shippuden collaboration, set to launch globally on May 22. The expansive collection bridges iconic footwear silhouettes with beloved characters from the long-running series, offering a fresh look at the classic Chuck Taylor and Weapon models through the lens of ninja legends.

Blending street style with subtle storytelling, the seven-pair collection pays tribute to Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, Kakashi, and Itachi, with each design rooted in the character's unique aesthetic and abilities. From embroidered symbols to character-coded color blocking, the designs go beyond surface-level references to deliver a thoughtful, wearable homage to the franchise.

Embodying the energy of the series’ title hero, this pair dons Naruto’s iconic orange and black color scheme, complete with symbol-rich detailing and hits of off-white at the toe and sole. It’s unmistakable, bold, and just as headstrong as the character it represents.

The adult edition takes on a sharper design with layered panels and a Fossil/Altitude Lilac colorway, referencing Sasuke’s duality throughout the anime. A custom star patch, dark blue tongue, and nods to his Rinnegan abilities come through in subtle graphic accents on the inside.

This pared-down take on the Kakashi theme keeps things subtle, with a clean grey upper, dark blue accents, and unique detailing such as the shuriken on the Converse logo. The Kakashi pair features a premium canvas and bolder execution. Embroidered details and dual-tone blocking give a refined feel to the shinobi's signature aesthetic.

Perhaps the most striking of the collection, the Weapon Mid pays tribute to Itachi Uchiha with its deep black upper, red cloud pattern collar, and fierce red Chevron Star. It’s the only non-Chuck model in the pack, and it uses that space to emphasize Itachi’s role as a rogue but honorable figure in the story.

Gaara’s presence is felt in this red and cream pair, which pulls from his sand gourd and battle-worn armor. Black contrast laces and graphic sole stamps offer more punch, rounding out one of the most unique colorways in the collection.

Crafted for smaller feet but big fandom, this kids’ version arrives in a soft grey canvas base with pops of purple and light blue—a color combination tied closely to Sasuke’s earlier design eras. The easy-on strap closure adds function to the form, giving the younger generation a taste of the Sharingan without the struggle of lacing up.

The kids’ Chuck Taylor All Star “Sasuke” keeps things playful yet powerful, channeling the young shinobi’s signature colors in a simplified package. Dressed in vibrant orange canvas with deep black accents on the laces, tongue, and lining, the pair captures Sasuke’s early design traits in a bold way. A Velcro strap adds easy-on functionality for little feet, while the heritage All Star patch grounds it in classic Converse style.

In addition to the footwear, Converse will release a capsule of Naruto-inspired apparel including jackets, tees, and backpacks—each designed with anime references built for daily wear. There will also be a Converse By You customization experience, allowing fans to create their own Naruto-themed sneakers from a wide range of colors and graphic elements.
