Hiroshi Fujiwara continues to expand Fragment Design’s collaborative reach in 2026, teasing another multi-brand project that brings Converse and his concept retail space V.A. Tokyo into the mix. The designer recently previewed the upcoming Fragment Design x V.A. Tokyo x Converse capsule, offering an early glimpse at two classic silhouettes reworked through the partnership.

For decades, Fujiwara has been one of Nike, Inc.’s most influential collaborators. Dating back to the early HTM era, his projects have routinely shaped the direction of modern sneaker culture, delivering sought-after releases across Nike, Jordan Brand, and beyond. While Fragment collaborations once leaned heavily toward ultra-limited releases, recent years have seen Fujiwara broaden his output — bringing his design language to a wider audience.

That expanded approach has included projects with athletes and collaborators across the Nike ecosystem, from Devin Booker to Chris Gibbs’ Union LA, as well as contributions to Nike’s experimental Mind footwear program. Now, Fujiwara appears to be shifting attention back toward Converse with a new capsule tied to V.A. Tokyo.

The teaser reveals two silhouettes — the Converse Jack Purcell and the Converse All-Star — both presented in minimalist white colorways. Each pair features stacked branding on the heel tab, combining the Fragment lightning bolt, V.A. Tokyo, and Converse logos in a vertical arrangement. While the Jack Purcell maintains a cleaner aesthetic with a fully white build, the All-Star introduces subtle pre-distressed detailing along the midsole, giving the design a slightly worn-in character.

Official release details for the Fragment Design x V.A. Tokyo x Converse capsule have not yet been confirmed. Only heel shots of the upcoming pairs have been shared so far, but mroe details are expected to be shared soon.

OTW by Vans has been intentionally creating new energy for the rest of the company, teaming up with tastemakers while also reimagining some of the brand's archive through fashion-forward lenses. The latter effort has resulted in styles like the Old Skool 36 Pearlized, a refreshing offering rooted in heritage and the idea of customizing your footwear.

Off the heels of a sold-out project by SATOSHI NAKAMOTO, the inline product will soon launch in "Marshmallow" and "Fuchsia" color schemes. As with their predecessor, a factory distressed aesthetic is accompanied by pearl and crystal embellishments to create an eye-catching, well-loved look. All of the iconic Vans elements that first landed on the silhouette in 1977—namely the Sidestripe™—reprise their roles on the elevated makeovers.

The updated Old Skool releases in two new colorways via Vans.com/OTW on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Pricing is set at $130.
