Tyler, The Creator’s Converse 1908 Collection Adds a Rebuilt Pro Leather

Converse and Tyler, The Creator are pushing the 1908 collection forward with the debut of the Converse 1908 Pro Leather, a bold rework of one of the brand’s most important basketball silhouettes.

Originally introduced in 1976, the Converse Pro Leather became a defining model on the court before finding a second life in street style, music, and culture. For this new 1908 chapter, Tyler reshapes the classic through a more exaggerated lens, pulling from b-boy culture, bootleg shops, and the hand-built energy that has long influenced sneaker design outside the mainstream.

The result is a bigger, bolder Pro Leather built for a new generation. The 1908 Pro Leather features a wider toe box, oversized eyelet rows, chunky laces, and an embossed star across the toe cap. A premium full-grain leather upper keeps the build elevated, while archival details like the heel panel, perforated overlays, and Star Chevron branding help keep the model connected to its original DNA.

Tyler’s GOLF le FLEUR* world is also worked into the design, with debossed branding appearing on the tongue and lateral side. The Converse 1908 Pro Leather will debut in two colorways, “White” and “Amazon,” both leaning into the model’s sculpted new proportions.

Alongside the Pro Leather, Converse is also releasing two new leather versions of the 1908 Jogger. Arriving in black and white, the updated pairs bring a cleaner, more refined finish to the low-profile silhouette, following earlier suede, nylon, and two-tone releases from the 1908 program.

Together, the drop continues Converse’s broader 1908 project, which looks to the brand’s 115-plus years of design history as a starting point for new creative expression. With Tyler helping shape the direction, the collection keeps taking familiar Converse silhouettes and pushing them into less expected territory.

The Converse 1908 Pro Leather releases July 16 for $95, while the new leather Converse 1908 Jogger colorways release the same day for $115. Both will be available globally through Converse and GOLF le FLEUR*.
