Revealed as part of the brand’s collaborative collection for Space Jam: A New Legacy, the varsity jacket-inspired Converse Chuck 70 “Tune Squad” has revealed both its official imagery and a confirmed release date for July 16th.
Channeling classic jock jackets, the pair presents with fairly obvious oversized chenille details across both lateral ankles. The right foot boasts a PE-style number 6 with King James’ finger-spinning basketball. The flips side shows the Tune Squad logo in equally bold fashion, both of which arrive in purple, orange, and sky blue hues. Below, vintage jacket colors of black and orange arrive in circular styling that mimics the famous Looney Tunes intro/outro screens. The medial side hones in on a solid purple Chuck Taylor badge to complete the exterior, while monochrome illustrations of the team in question cover the interior liners — all of which arrives in special-edition boxing.
