As one of the longest-standing collaborators in footwear history, Stussy has shown that, like the brands they collaborate with, they remain relevant in any era. The description couldn’t ring truer with their latest link-up, as the brand brings its legendary 8-Ball motif to two of the most recognizable sneakers ever created; the Converse Chuck 70 and Converse One Star.
This is the first time Converse has donned the classic motif, and it also marks an important migration away from Stussy’s recent obsession with hemp-clad kicks. Here, the duo relies upon shaggy suedes of “Sargasso Sea” and “Green Flash,” respectively, with simple white, black, and gum sole units underfoot. The oversized 8-Ball motif rests on the lateral side of both pairs, with co-branded tongue tags and insoles rounding out the design.
