As one of the longest-standing collaborators with Nike, Inc., Stussy has shown that, like Nike, they remain relevant in any era. Not only did they receive a revival of their infamous Huaraches last year, but they also have two Air Force 1 Mids and a Penny 2in the queue for 2022; they’ve also recently released a two-piece capsule with Nike sub-brand Converse. Now, the streetwear legends will hook back in with the Chuck, this time honoring the brand’s Californian roots.
Clad in the brand’s go-to hemp fibers, this time highlighting the natural textile in shaded od salmon pink. A vacant lateral patch emulates the iconic Chuck Star badge, whilst the flip side digs deep into the archives with the brand’s scarcely-seen Surfman motif. Black laces compliment said motif, while sole unit trim also retains its classic black hues. Co-branded tongues are delivered on tack-stitched tags, with internal brand marks at the tongue and ankle round out the design.
