Stussy and Converse are at it again, blending timeless design with streetwear sensibility in their latest collaboration on the iconic Converse Chuck 70. This partnership continues to cement Stussy's status as a brand capable of staying at the forefront of fashion through the decades, now revisiting the canvas of the world's most recognized sneaker silhouette.
Echoing the success of their "8-Ball" releases in 2022, this new collection introduces the Chuck 70 Hi and Ox models, each dressed in vibrant, textured uppers of "Sky Blue" and "Poppy Red." These choices pay homage to Stussy's knack for eye-catching designs and inject a fresh vibrancy into the classic Converse framework.
Replacing the familiar 8-Ball imagery, this collaboration embraces Stussy's playful jester-like star motif, which adorns each pair, adding a unique touch that distinguishes these Chucks from their predecessors. The design strips back the traditional Chuck Taylor ankle patch for a more minimalist, faceless badge, allowing the shoes' vivid colors and textures to take center stage.
Further personal touches include Stussy branding on the inner tongue and insoles, rounding out a pair of novel and familiar releases. These sneakers represent a convergence of skate culture, streetwear aesthetics, and classic American footwear in a way only Stussy and Converse could achieve.
Set to drop on Nike.com on March 8th, the Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 collection will retail at $110 for the Hi and $100 for the Ox.
