G-SHOCK by Casio x Crocs Echo Wave Releases May 27

Colorado's expert in laceless comfort, Crocs, is set to release one of the year's most unexpected footwear collaborations. Its partner?: Japanese electronics juggernaut, Casio.

No, the linkup isn't a play on a five-letter name beginning with C (although that seems like a missed opportunity). Instead, but institutions seem to have come together through a mutual respect of craftsmanship, innovation, and ability to let their wearers focus on what really matters.

While not as popular as the Classic Clog, the Echo Wave boasts the same reliable comfort as other products from Crocs, with Casio's update indulging in a glow-in-the-dark finish that delivers a clean off-white look in the light. The sculpted upper is accompanied by a fabric strap around the heel that dons an abstract medley of muted green and pink tones; the same pattern can be seen via the profiles' perforations. Beyond the marbling, the collaboration makes a statement with the watch case attached to the eye-catching security strap. The G-SHOCK watch that arrives with the Echo Wave slip-on can be displayed on the side of the shoe, arriving with co-branding accents and a similar all-over print.
