Where to Buy the Basquiat x Crocs Classic Clog
Synonymous with comfort, Crocs has recently carved out a new notoriety: the collaboration.
The Colorado-based company has been connecting with a wide array of brands and themes, from Busch Light and Pringles to Star Wars and Toy Story. Adding an artistic touch to their recent collaborations, Crocs has teamed up with the estate of the legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, bringing a piece of art history to your feet.
The new Basquiat x Crocs Classic Clog channels the vibrant energy and raw emotion of Basquiat’s art, predominantly featuring blues and blacks that reflect the depth of his work. The collaboration uniquely divides two of Basquiat’s most famous pieces between the pair: “Untitled (1982)” graces the left shoe, while “Untitled Skull (1981)” adorns the right, offering a walking gallery of his groundbreaking style.
Further enriching this wearable art, the clogs include Jibbitz charms that showcase other iconic works by Basquiat, such as “Untitled 1960 (1983)” and the dinosaur from “Pez Dispenser.” True to the spirit of Basquiat’s legacy, his signature and the symbolic crown are featured prominently on the shoe’s profile as a Jibbitz and in the branding at the heel on the insole.
The Basquiat x Crocs Classic Clog is set to release at Foot Locker on May 7th for $75.
